Position Spotlight
F&I Specialist
- F&I professionals require strong communication skills, have a good foundational understanding of the automotive industry, and are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.
- F&I specialists sell new and used car buyers financing and insurance programs. They are able to articulate to customers thorough explanations of aftermarket products, extended warranties, vehicle service contracts, manufacturer and dealership specific services and policies.
- F&I specialists are required to create a program in conjunction with the sales department to ensure all vehicle sales are referred to the F&I department.
- A thorough understanding of federal, state and local regulations that affect new and used-vehicle sales and finance departments is essential.
- They are able to train and provide the dealership sales team with information on finance, lease programs and the benefits of extended service programs.
